Meet Our Pastor
Pastor Alexander Grimaldi
“I’m going to be a farmer.” That’s what I told myself growing up. My grandfather is a citrus farmer in Florida, so that was the road I took. So how did someone who grew up in Florida with a degree in agriculture end up in frigid Maine pastoring a church? Simply put, love.
In Matthew 9:36-38, it says, “When Jesus saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.’”
Towards my senior year of college, the Lord gave me a burning love for His church and I knew I was about to give up my pursuit of agriculture to pursue the pastorate.
Growing up in the Bible Belt, I desired a place that looked different – and New England was that place. When I think of New England, I see land of sheep without a shepherd, harassed and helpless. After praying earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to be sent, I now have the joy of shepherding at Living Stone Community Church. It seems as though “I’m a farmer”, just not the kind of farming I expected to be doing, but the kind I wouldn’t trade for the world.
Pastor Alexander holds a degree in crop production from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in
Tifton, Georgia and is currently pursuing his Masters of Divinity in Christian Ministry at
New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
