Stay Dusty Friends

About a month ago, we heard John say that whoever says he (or she) abides in [Jesus] ought to walk in the same way in which He walked. And then we looked at five ways in which Jesus walked.

We saw that He walked:

1. In the love and the approval of the Father

2. Full of the Spirit and of the Word

3. In intentionality, making disciples who would carry on His mission

4. In compassion, meeting physical and spiritual need

5. In servitude

I want to revisit those five things this morning to remind you and I to continue to strive to emulate them. Abide in Jesus this morning. Abide in Him throughout the day and week. And ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand your identity in Christ. Ask Him to fill you with more of Himself, and with the Word. Ask Him who He would have you start a discipling relationship with. Ask Him to break your heart for the physically and spiritually destitute. And ask Him to help you become more servant hearted.

Yes, ask - for the Holy Spirit will answer such prayers. Walk with Jesus, and as you do, may His dust be on you always.
