Not Like These Is He

"Every man is stupid and without knowledge; every goldsmith is put to shame by his idols, for his images are false, and there is no breath in them...Not like these is He who is the portion of Jacob, for He is the one who formed all things, and Israel is the tribe of His inheritance; the LORD of hosts is His name." ~ Jeremiah 51:17,19.

Aren't you glad this morning that "Not like these is He who is the portion of Jacob"?

Our God is not like the idols, made by human hands. He formed all things.

Our God is not like those who cannot speak. By His words He spoke the universe into creation.

Our God is not like the idols, who need humans to place food in front of them so the deity can eat. Our God is not served by human hands as though He needed anything, but He Himself gives life and breath and everything to all mankind (Acts 17:25).

Our God is not like the so-called gods of the world. No, Yahweh is utterly unique and set apart. There is no one like Him.

And church family, He is your God!

Is there any better way to start the day, than to be encouraged by the reality that the God you serve is the one, true God? Take courage this week!

Your God is not like their gods. Hallelujah!
