Joyful Shepherding

"Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you." ~ Hebrews 13:17

Good morning church family! This week I've just been overflowing with gratitude for all of you. You are a congregation who loves the word of God and loves each other. When harder passages and topics are preached on, you receive them with ears to hear. You receive the word for what it is. And you encourage me greatly in doing so.

When I think about our congregation and the people in it - from the littlest of babies to the grayest of heads, I realized how blessed I am to shepherd you, alongside Doug.

Thank you for living in obedience to the Word of God. There is no greater joy for me as a pastor than to see that. 

Continue to press on, dear flock. Abide in Jesus daily, seek to disciple others and evangelize the lost, and encourage one another, knowing that one day, our Lord will soon descend with a trumpet sound, and we shall be with Him forever.
